http://www.homemadepowerplant.com/?hop=adonpub Hybrid solar lighting is different than traditional solar power, using photovoltaic panels, which converts sun light into electricity. Hybrid solar lighting captures sunlight and channels it through fiber optic cables directly into a room. The term hybrid refers to the output sun light being combined with traditional lighting to compensate for less than optimal sun light output due to periodic overhead cloud obstructions.
