SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HAS NEVER BEEN ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH POPULATION GROWTH.
THE REAL problem being UN-ADDRESSED IS POPULATION.
since you losers cannot confront the REAL problem, its going ot get worse.
your FUCKING MAKING BABIES AND MASS IMMIGRATION IS GOING TO DESTROY YOU.

Old cars get more mileage than new hybrids today ,and they used to get about 80 miles per gallon
January 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
A hybrid is an idiotic idea. Charging batteries using a petrol engine on such a small scale is extremely inefficient.
If that gas was used instead in a high efficiently generator there would be enough electric capacity to charge as many cars as you wanted to.
It’s a matter of economies of scale.

that jess grimson is sexy
January 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
Oh, that’s most illogical. Additions to the home should increase value.
January 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
Atleast while i was in israel i was heating my water with the sun but here where i live its illegal to put solar panels and solar heaters on your roof because it lowers the value of the homes in the area otherwiese i would have it. Also its like 107 degrees out right now and it gets to 120 degrees here during the summer
January 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
At least you are using the sun to heat your water, right?

I must agree. I really like New Belgium beer.
I generally do not drink beer, but New Belgium beer tastes great and if you - out there in cyberspace - have not tried it, please do! You won’t be disappointed.
I already knew how “green” the company was when I first tasted it, but if it tasted bad I would not recommend it - no matter how much they recycled!

this is so last year too bad i have to waste electricity to watch this wonderful show thus creating more pollution considering that my power comes from a coal powered power plant in israel located by the mediteranean sea.
January 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
New Belgium is a wonderful beer. I like it even more now and will be sure to drink as much of it as I can in the future.

The increase in fuel economy in the Tahoe hybrid is quite pathetic actually. I have a friend who has an Avalanche that tows machinery for a living and gets 21 MPG. The Prius isn’t much of a ‘compact sedan’ as it looks at a first glance. It has more room for stuff than the Honda CRV I used to own.

my apologies, I forget my chemistry

CNG is a real alternative to petroleum; while it’s still a derivative of past sunlight, and still limited, it’s a lot better to burn than oil. CNG takes much less enery to “refine”, and leaves much less pollution. In fact, a CNG car gets to ride in HOV lane, just like an EV.
January 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
This is a great arguement! There are valid points on both sides! The electric car is not for everyone, but neither is the V10. CNG is a good “stop gap” measure, but is a fossil fuel, so it will run out too, not to mention that if we release the carbon from the Dinosaurs’ time, we will have the weater from the Dinosaurs’ time.

True, but if more people thought about if they need an SUV, maybe there would be a few less. If you need an SUV you should be able to buy it, but if you do not, you should be smart enough to know that. Green vehicle of the year?…Nah!
January 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
The whole point of the Hybrid Tahoe is to increase Fullsize SUV fuel economy, not to be compared to a compact Prius…dimwits.

You are my friend!

As a product of metabolism you’re exhaling carbon right now, so if you’re that concerned about it I suggest you either stop breathing or wear a catalytic converter on your face. The problem with CO is that it has more affinity for hemoglobin than CO2 so it is more dangerous to humans. That’s why I take pride in having lower CO emissions.
January 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
naer complete combustion is pointless the products of all combustion is CO2 and H2O, so no mater what, if comething is burned theres carbon
January 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
I run it on compressed natural gas. No petrol involved. Near complete combustion reaction. An order of magnitude less NOx emissions than gasoline and no sulfur. Best of all, no huge toxic nickel, lead, or lithium batteries like your toyota.

You also agree, then, to the oil wars, the debasement of the currency, and the foolish wealth of the Saudi dictators who put ski runs in the desert while oppressing their people.
January 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
I wouldn’t trade my 6,8 litre V10 american made ford super duty for anything.
